San Francisco In The 80s

Here’s a burst of nostalgia for you. Well, maybe not for you, and maybe not for me, but to my father, these are golden memories. I recently stumbled across photos that were taken by my father and his friends while they lived in San Francisco, USA, in the 1980s. Although I’ve never really asked my father much about his time in the USA, or Greece, or anywhere else he’s traveled and lived, I’ve listened in on so many stories to know that my father has had an exciting life. After stumbling across these photos, I can confirm that my theory was correct. I thought I’d share with you all a few of my favourite photos that I found, taken by my father and his friends in San Francisco, in the 1980s. I take no credit for any of the photos, I just want to share my father’s nostalgia with all of you. And so, in no particular order, I present you, ladies and gentlemen, with San Fran in the 80s…

My father is such a character, as you can see.

On the back of the photo is a note written by my father. “The hills of San Francisco, causing those telephoto blues…”

My personal favourite, out of all the photos.

Jaywalking was totally legal in the 80s, right?

British Bandwagon, represent!
